Mountain Lions Track Program

SPRING:  We are excited to be offering this 6 week program in 16 schools this spring.

Join the Mountain Lions Spring Track program for a fun and encouraging environment in which to learn the basics of track running. This six week program will consist of practices twice a week as well as two track meets at the end of weeks three and six. The cost of the meets is included in the price of the program. Runners will learn speed-work, relays, distance running and racing techniques that will help them learn good running form and improve both speed and endurance in an environment focused on the enjoyment of running. Track meet dates are April 29th and May 20th at Fairview High School (9am-11am). Each participant will receive a technical shirt.

Sportsmanship is KEY to the Mountain Lions program… Good sportsmanship is when teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials treat each other with respect.

Sportsmanship Oath:

I promise to follow the rules...
To be fair...
To be a good sport... and honor my teammates!
I'll remember to have fun!

Coaches Needed For 2017 Fall Cross CountrySeptember 11 - October 21, 2017

We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible adults to assist in coaching at various schools throughout Boulder County.  No prior experience coaching a kids running program is necessary - we will train you and help you out along the way.

The success of our after-school running programs depends on having enough coaches to place at all the schools, so if you can commit for an hour or so in the afternoon (usually between 2-4pm) twice a week and want to help, please email Jenell Archer at  The program is 6 weeks, and consists of 2 Saturday track meets.
