Laura Thweatt grew up in Durango, Colorado. Laura’s career in running started her freshman year of high school when she went out for the cross country team. She says “I love the pure simplicity of it. It’s just you and your teammates running through the mud and grass. There is something so freeing about it.”
By her senior year she secured an athletic scholarship with the University of Colorado. After graduating in 2011, and at a loss for what to do next, she was introduced to Lee Troop and his new running group which is now known as the Boulder Track Club. Now nearly seven years later, they continue to work together as she continues her running career. As a professional runner for Saucony, her current focus is set on the marathon at the 2020 Olympics. “With Lee’s knowledge, guidance, belief and encouragement I am fortunate to have made my love and passion for running into a career”
Laura works has worked at Fleet Feet Sports for over two years. Her expertise as a professional runner translates well where she is the footwear buyer. She also uses her running knowledge as the Assistant Cross Country Coach at Monarch High School. “I love what I do and I hope I inspire others through the sport of running.”
Nicole started running her sophomore year of high school. Her proudest running moments were when she, a senior, and her sister, a freshman, both podiumed at the state cross country meet. They followed up that performance with another state final co-podium as part of the same team 4 x 800 M team. After high school, Nicole went on to perform at a high level as a runner winning her hometown race, The Cleveland Marathon. That win also qualified her for the Olympic Trials.
Nicole has been at Fleet Feet Sports Boulder for over a year and a half. She is the Operations Manager and enjoys the challenge of keeping the store stocked with the most up to date gear and shoes out! Nicole says “I love working at Fleet Feet Boulder because of what Lee has made our store about; helping our community be more active while providing the best customer service possible. It's a place people want to visit for their walking and running needs . Sweet Cow next door doesn't hurt either!”

If Lauren had to sum up why she loves working at Fleet Feet “It’s two fold. I really enjoy talking with our customers. There’s something inspiring about talking to a new runner or someone who is just getting back into shape. There’s also some magical about hearing epic stories from some of our talented local professionals. I also can’t complain about working for Lee. He’s a straight shooter, works harder than anyone I’ve ever met, and he wants to make Fleet Feet a place where everyone feels welcome and at home.”
Noah is a professional runner who also has some epically glorious hair. He got his start in running as a freshman in high school. His dad was an accomplished runner when he was younger so Noah figured he might be talented at it too.

You’ll usually find Noah at the front counter at the shop or running around Boulder. He and his girlfriend just adopted a greyhound named Sarah.
