Meet Our Team

Laura Thweatt

Laura Thweatt grew up in Durango, Colorado. Laura’s career in running started her freshman year of high school when she went out for the cross country team. She says “I love the pure simplicity of it. It’s just you and your teammates running through the mud and grass. There is something so freeing about it.”

By her senior year she secured an athletic scholarship with the University of Colorado.  After graduating in 2011, and at a loss for what to do next, she was introduced to Lee Troop and his new running group which is now known as the Boulder Track Club. Now nearly seven years later, they continue to work together as she continues her running career. As a professional runner for Saucony, her current focus is set on the marathon at the 2020 Olympics. “With Lee’s knowledge, guidance, belief and encouragement I am fortunate to have made my love and passion for running into a career”

Laura works has worked at Fleet Feet Sports for over two years.  Her expertise as a professional runner translates well where she is the footwear buyer.  She also uses her running knowledge as the Assistant Cross Country Coach at Monarch High School.  “I love what I do and I hope I inspire others through the sport of running.”

Nicole Camp

Nicole started running her sophomore year of high school.  Her proudest running moments were when she, a senior, and her sister, a freshman, both podiumed at the state cross country meet.  They followed up that performance with another state final co-podium as part of the same team 4 x 800 M team.  After high school, Nicole went on to perform at a high level as a runner winning her hometown race, The Cleveland Marathon.  That win also qualified her for the Olympic Trials.

Nicole has been at Fleet Feet Sports Boulder for over a year and a half.  She is the Operations Manager and enjoys the challenge of keeping the store stocked with the most up to date gear and shoes out!  Nicole says “I love working at Fleet Feet Boulder because of what Lee has made our store about; helping our community be more active while providing the best customer service possible. It's a place people want to visit for their walking and running needs . Sweet Cow next door doesn't hurt either!”

Laurie Mizener

Laurie is a veteran of the retail running business.  In 1995 she moved to Boulder to pursue her running career and to prepare for the 1996 Olympic Trials.  Laurie’s career at Fleet Feet Boulder began in 2001 and is the only remaining employee from the original staff.  Her knowledge of running and triathlon is vast and if you need information on training, racing, or staying healthy, she is your go-to.

Laurie’s athletic resume is robust and boasts several top ten finishes at the US Road Racing Championships. Today she races for fun although she remains highly competitive.  She races triathlon, running, cyclocross, snowshoeing, and mountain biking.  Laurie’s athletic genes have been passed to her daughter who also participates in triathlon (with outstanding results like her mom!)

Laurie enjoys working with athletes of all levels and non-athletes who visit Fleet Feet Boulder.  She gets great satisfaction when she can provide a guest with the right gear or information. “We have a great, friendly staff at Fleet Feet who are a joy to work with and I hope you come visit us soon!”

Lauren Vallee

Lauren is the most recent addition to the team at Fleet Feet Sports Boulder. Lauren ran her first marathon in 2005 at the Chicago Marathon and since then she has run 15 marathons (4 open and 11 at the end of an Ironman).  Her personal best marathon time is 3:34:56 which she ran during a blizzard!  She has qualified for and raced the Ironman 70.3 World Championship twice and has finished 11 Ironman triathlons. Her life goals include qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii and to hug a koala.

If Lauren had to sum up why she loves working at Fleet Feet “It’s two fold. I really enjoy talking with our customers. There’s something inspiring about talking to a new runner or someone who is just getting back into shape. There’s also some magical about hearing epic stories from some of our talented local professionals. I also can’t complain about working for Lee.  He’s a straight shooter, works harder than anyone I’ve ever met, and he wants to make Fleet Feet a place where everyone feels welcome and at home.”

Noah Droddy

Noah is a professional runner who also has some epically glorious hair. He got his start in running as a freshman in high school.  His dad was an accomplished runner when he was younger so Noah figured he might be talented at it too.

Noah earned All-American Honors at DePauw University in cross country. He’s run the Olympic Track Trial in the marathon and the 10,000m.  You’ll usually find Noah at the front counter at the shop or running around Boulder.  He and his girlfriend just adopted a greyhound named Sarah.  He enjoys capturing loads of dog content and sharing it with friends and colleagues who visit Fleet Feet Boulder.
